MARANTHAAAAAAA!!!

I think by this point, it has been very clear to all of us that GOD IS ALMIGHTY….after reading this since revival EVERYDAY i think i get the point now. But anyway it’s very obvious that people aren’t doing this today, and i’m looking forward to the day when Jesus comes back and everyone will!

2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

When I sing Worship songs, why am I singing? Is it for entertainment or self glory. I sing Praise to the Lord! My Rock! Give thanks and praise to Him because of all he’s done. My Love will make me continue to sing

Wow!! This verse is awesome. God is our Maker, He is our Creator and is SO worthy of all of our worship and praise. We should be bowing down, kneeling, and exalting him above everything else!! Especially because of how he has saved us! That makes me want to praise him all the more!!!!

I’m so pooped right now, but this is the part that jumped out at me. I have lots and lotsa people in my life and on my heart these days, who have hardened hearts. And I am recently in a new place of my walk with the Lord that I am realizing the huge power of His love. And so it is my DUTY and my PLEASURE, as one of God’s marked and chosen ones, to be obedient to His call, to love on them, as He loves on ME.

I am so thankful for everything God does! I was just thinking about how amazing the gift of laughter is. Thank you Lord for looking out for us in all our ways. Let’s praise you always with out thoughts and actions.

Man, the Psalmist was pumped to worship the LORD! I want to have this same attitude before, during, and after worshipping the LORD through song. Worshipping isn’t only what we do at True North on weekends, or what we do at small groups, but in general it’s having a desire to submit your self to God and what he says. God help me to have this same mindset going into the weekend, and coming out of it.

I always need clear in my mind exactly who God is…..so many people nowadays think that fearing God is negative and detrimental to things such as “self esteem”….the Health class I am taking at the moment is telling me that that “type” of fear is not good. I need to make sure that I do not buy into the lies that are spoon-fed to me all day long wherever I happen to be. God is a being who *should* be feared….He is perfect and Holy and holds the power of deciding where we go after death. I am going to pray that my fear will never diminish, but will instead increase so that I will be a better slave for our Savior!

I recently memorized Psalm 111:10 , which also provides insight about how fear is BENEFICIAL! Memorizing Scripture is so useful because you never need to look up the verses you have in your head….which much more effective in fighting sin and also if you do not have your Bible handy! I need to memorize His Word regularly.

Sing to Him forever and ever!!! He is just so amazing.

I love this verse because it shows the contrast, we worship God, but we do it in trembling.

Worship is, of course, more then just singing… It is more then just obeying also… It is the ‘desire’ to obey because if that desire is God given, it will lead to obediance, worship comes from the heart.

I love the analogy of us being Gods flock. It reminds me of the story of the Good Sheepherd. God cares about his flock. He will protect us and guide us. And because of that, we are called to worship Him. That is why we were created. Worship our Creator!

These verses are amazing, it just shows the praise we need to give our Lord for he is the one who gave us life and we are under him and should bow down and worship him.

I love this verse because it reminds me of FACEDOWN. I listen to that song almost everyday and it never gets old. I love it. And I love worshipping God and having that time where I block everyone and everything out and its just me and God.

I like this verse because it shows how just and Almighty God is. He deserves all our praise. This helps motivate me to both praise him and obey him. This verse is going on my mirror!

God is awesome. I’m going to keep praying for a revival and that my life could stand out like an alien and glorify only Him! I’m so unworthy to even praise Him but He gives me the privilege and honor of worshiping and praising Him. He deserves my everything! I need to put God as my priority. Anything that I love/ spend more time with than God is my idol (“god”) and it is nothing compared to the one true God! I need to focus on spending more time with God especially with this busy school year because He’s what makes life worth living. :)

This reminded me of how the prophets of Ba’al on Mount Carmel were cutting their wrists and doing the most ludicrous things in hopes that their god would hear them and light a fire. Their god never did because he didn’t exist but then when Elijah poured water all over the offering, God burned not only the alter but everything around it also. Whenever I am putting my trust in something else to satisfy me it’s like crying out to gods who don’t exist, because these things have no power whatsoever. But our God is real, personal, and He has all the power in the world. Lord, please forgive me for seeking after powerless idols and so ignoring you when you are the God of the heavens and have called me to be your very own. Lord, please help me to be seeking and serving you in a way that others can see that I am different so that you would be glorified rather than me living a futile life that looks just like the rest of the world.

The Lord is so worthy of our praise because He is the creator, the maker of this earth. He saved us from the depths of Hell by sending down his one and only Son. I lke the second verse also because we should fear nothing before the Lord. There is only one thing thing that should be feared and that is God himself.

WOO this verse reminded me of how thankful I am to live in a free country where I can speak His name and praise Him basically whenever I want!! God gave me the opportunity to share the gospel with at least 6 people at school this week (i didn’t know who else might have been listening…hopefully more! ;D), and I am soooo pumped!! Praise to Jesus Christ who has saved us from His wrath!! :D

Awesome! I must glorify the LORD in all that he does. He deserves everything I have. For all that he does to me, why should I focus on anything else but him? I need to make sure there are no false idols in my life so that I can glorify and serve him all the time! He will come to judge the world one day, and I want to him to be extremely satisfied with how I have lived for him!

COME, OH LORD!!! MARANATHA!!!!!

Every day, we have a choice. When we read through the Scriptures, and see God’s glory in His creation around us, and then go off and put it out of our minds. Or we can meditate on His goodness and His grace and His power, praising Him as He deserves. Admiring His power and character isn’t an option; it is the reason we were created. So I need to make sure that I am not hardening my heart against Him and His teaching, but am instead joyfully living to fulfill the calling from which I have been mercifully pulled out of my sin!

I like verse 8,”do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert,”

I like this verse because it talks about hardening our hearts. I have trouble with this because I sometimes want to do my own thing and not change my plans. I want to get better at respect and obeying first time with a good aditude.

It is so comforting to know that the same God who made the heavens and the earth is my shepherd. The King of Kings and the Almighty God is currently protecting me from harm (Ps. 91:14), satisfying my soul (Ps. 23:1), and teaching me the way I should live (Ps. 23:3)! Knowing this comforts me and gives me faith in Him!

13 they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth.

God’s future judgment of the world is something to rejoice about! Everything will be made right, God’s will is done, and He will reign in righteousness for eternity. I am excited to praise Him on that day!

GOD IS SO GREAT. This just shows me how much I should be fearing God and praising him.It is so cool to think that I serve a God that made the heavens and is so worthy of my praise.

I looked up Exodus 17 where this story is and read about the Israelites complaining against the Lord. Chapter 95 has a contrast of how worthy God is to receive our worship and then these verses waring about hard hearts of unbelief. Getting a hard heart of unbelief can happen easier than I’d like to think. Being skeptical of God’s perfect goodness, complaining about what he has given…this is where it starts. My prayer this day is that I will continually worship God with my life because he is worthy and he is also proven. I even have stories from way back in Exodus that show me how awesome God is and he is still like that today!

This verse is a good reminder that we need to evangelize. It’s so simple to let the craziness of the day take your mind off of what God wants you to do, and that’s exactly the problem. It says here that Christians should tell about his salvation everyday. this should become an everyday habit. I only bring up conversations like this usually 1 to maybe 3 times a week, but it says here that I should do this everyday. wow.

It is very easy to get caught up in the world today and make somethings in your life seem more important to you than God. This is not okay in God’s eyes. If we have things in our lives that have become idols in our lives and is causing you to put God last of second or anything other than first in your life, then we need to repent and turn from that sin. Praise the Lord and lets stay focused on him!!!

He truly is! Whenever I think about WHO GOD IS I am humbled and amazed; He doesn’t have to do anything to deserve that praise, glory and adoration…HE is worthy of it! I am challenging myself today to declare that praise to His name in all that I do, to shine as a light brining Him glory in this dark world and to thank Him continually for who He is and all He has done and has yet to do. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise!

Psalm 96 is about God and His wonders and amazingness!!!(But isn’t the whole Bible, basically about that :]) I want to praise and sing His name all the days to come. He is an amazing God who deserves all my praise. Come LORD Jesus come, so all the world may see your glory and that there will be a Revival among the nations! :]

usually i go throughout the day not really thinking about nature that is all around me and am trying to get the things done that i have to get done that day, but i need to think about how God made everything around me and that it is right here next to me for me to enjoy in His awesome creation

Godly example to all those people who don’t believe.

In college we would sing a song that was basically these three verses. My life needs to be joyful! I need to shout aloud because God saved me. No matter what happens in my life I can have joy because I have been reconciled with God. NOTHING can change that. God chose me and so I can’t be unchosen. Today, I will be joyful and thankful no matter what comes my way. My God is a great God and a great king above all gods!

I love these psalms!!!! When I was reading through them they reminded me of how amazing out Lord is. He is unfathomable and still I so easily sin against him. WOW! These pslams were just a breath of fresh air to remind me of all the Lords attributes and how he is so worthy of all my praise and worship. I want my life to reflect what I believe so that I may be a

i really!!!!!!! like these a lot we should reread these everyday so that we Christians can share the gospel around Orange Country

Oh LORD you deserve all the praise and glory today and forever. May I always come before you with a heart of thankfulness and gratitude for snatching me out of the fire. May your praise be on my lips and may I sing a song to you in my heart.

Psalm 96
1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth

I love this and this morning as I was singing hymns to my sweet baby girl, I had a new song to sing.
“You are Holy Holy Lord
For you are God and I am man.
There is none who compare to you
There is none who is like you.
I worship you for you are LORD
And you hold me in the palm of your hand.”

May a new song of praise always be in our heart and may we sing out loud to the LORD.

I read . . .

Psalm 95 & 96 . . .

“13. they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth.”

It says it plainly here, that God will come back to the earth to judge it. Otherwise known as “JUDGEMENT DAY.” The spectacular thing about God, is that He is 100% just AND 100% loving, all at the same time. In this verse, it’s saying that He will keep us accountable for every sin ever committed.

Not only did just that verse stand out to me, but both two chapters. They’re about praising God and giving Him glory for what He has done. What mighty things He has created. Which is completely right in the sense that God deserves all the praise we have to offer.

Our Maker! Let’s just take some time this morning to meditate on these two chapters! They were wonderful!! This verse stood out to me the most because as I was reading it, it made me feel special, and it should make you feel special, too! Think about it, God created each and every one of us. He put time into planning out our lives and our purpose. We are all here for a reason and we need to pray that the Lord guides us on the right path! I am praising Jesus today for dying on the cross for me! I am praising Him for my salvation! Let’s look for opportunities to share the good news with people, and tell them about our precious Maker!

Both these Psalms are awesome chapters focused mainly on praising the Lord. But these two verses stuck out to me. It seems like the Psalmist is commanding his readers not only to “sing to the LORD” and to praise Him, but to “proclaim his salvation day after day” and to “declare his glory among the nations.” This is personally convicting to me, because mostly all of the time, the things that come out of my mouth (though not bad) are not focused on God, His glory, and His message (the gospel). Proclaiming God’s praise and glory outside of worshipping on Sunday is something I need to work on. Lord, help me to constantly be praising, worshipping, and talking about You and your message.

This psalm is a call to worship the Lord and to acknowledge with a submissive attitude and obedient heart the Lord’s kingship over His people. Verses 8 & 9 stood out to me because they are a stern warning. The Israelites had seen God do many miracles on their behalf, including the parting of the Red Sea and defeat of Pharaoh’s army, yet at Meribah and Massah they rebelled against the Lord. I was struck by the fact that I have seen God save me from my sin and an eternity in hell, yet sometimes I lose focus of that and sin against Him. When we do not have a high view of God and rebel against Him it says that He gets angry. He was angry with the Israelites for 40 years and almost all of them died in the desert without ever entering the Promised Land because of their lack of faith. Lord, please help me not to be foolish and forgetful like the Israelites. Help me to always have a thankful heart for the sacrifice you made of Your Son on my behalf so that I might live. Help me to fight my flesh, the World, and Satan and not be distracted from the truth that You are a mighty God who saved me and who deserves my obedience and praise all day, every day!

God is like our shepard and we are like His sheep. He watches over and protects His people, the Christians. Us Christians are under his care. I think this description fits well, because as a human, i am like a sheep. I’m dumb and i definetely need God as my shepard! I need Him to guide me and keep me safe!

Of corse the worls cant be moves unless God desides to move it. god will judge the people with equity. Now in my history classs we are leasrning about citizenship and democracy. But, what really stood out to me was talking about our religion. Now some of the stuff they were saying was true. But, what i didnt understand was the text sayinf people are saved by grace and my good works. Also saying was that people can read and interpret the bible by themselves. This is what stood out to me. Now I didnt know to what to say, but I did speak up to my friends saying some of this is a little off. Well can anyone else think of a good way to aproach this in my history class?

I can get so distracted with other idols in my life and put them before God, I need to make God not only my first priority, but my life. God created the entire universe, no other “god” has created anything because they themselves were created by man. God alone is to be worshipped and feared. A lot of people waste life seeking other religions and never know the true God, they waste their life serving a god who can’t do anything. God, who made everything and is to be feared, will punish this. I need to keep my focus on God and not get distracted by other idols.

10 Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.

God is so holy we should worship Him for what He has done and we will spread his name to all the nations and the will now that we follow God and His good deeds.

5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

The psalmist writes that God is great and most worthy of praise. He writes that the LORD is to be feared above all gods; for all the other gods of all the other nations and religions are but idols, yet the LORD God made the heavens. Many people, both in older times and still today, waste their time seeking after a false religion and praising a god who can’t do anything. There are idols and imaginary gods that they worship, yet their is no proof that they can possibly be real gods. As for the true God, He is the Creator of the Universe, and if that’s not enough in itself than there is so much more. God alone is the God who is worthy to be praised; He alone is the one, true God and He alone is the one to be worshiped. And sadly, many people have a relaxed thought of God. They believe in false gods, yet when asked what if they are wrong, they don’t care much and say they would just be unlucky. This is so foolish! For punishment of eternity in hell will come upon all who are stubborn and unrepentant. These people are stupid, for they don’t care that they could be wrong about where they will go after they die, and end up living in a place of torment devoid of anything good for all of eternity, yet they are too stubborn to fear God and worship Him. God needs to be feared above all else. God is the Judge, the one who will save and the one who will send sinners to hell. He alone should be the one that I fear, my Righteous and Just God.

If He is who He says He is, shouldn’t we do what he says??? Let’s pray for clean hearts today and open doors at home, school and work to love others as He loves us. More of Him and less of us!

The Lord deserves all our praises! He wants 100% of us, not 95 or 98%! As verse 2 says, its important to be proclaiming his salvation. At school this year, I am going to continue to pray for the Aliso students that they will hopefully come to know Christ and that a revival will happen soon during the year! Now praying is not enough…. its good and awesome, but it has to be DONE. I am going to make sure I push and motivate myself and others to share God’s truth among the students of Aliso Niguel High School! Also by taking every open door and opportunity that I see! I need to fear God and not become hesitant if anything comes up, but to take the opportunity!

4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.

God is so good and so great! I am extremely blessed for everything he has provided me with and I know I need to be praising his name and giving him my best! He is the ultimate judge and I need to check myself and make sure that I am fearful of God! Who cares what man can do, they cannot destroy both soul and body in hell! So this year I am also going to make sure I 100% fear the Lord through everything!

There are a million reasons why we should worship God. On reason that isnt given much deep thought is how He is the Creator. Meditate and deeply ponder what God has done through His creation. ITS AMAZING! The stars for example…. When you look up at the sky at night and see all the stars….now that’s awesome! At least 250,000,000 x 250,000,000 stars (each larger than our own sun) have been sprayed everywhere all across the vastness of space by OUR CREATOR!! If that alone is not enough to get you to kneel before the almighty God, what can?!? Something so easily overlooked like the cell, which makes up all living matter and works together to make a living being like you and I….God has done so much more than that! I havent even scratched the surface of what God has done! This brings me to my knees.
