Exodus 31

Oholiab and Bezalel

31:1 The Lord said to Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft. And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. And I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you: the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent, the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, 10 and the finely worked garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests, 11 and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the Holy Place. According to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.”

The Sabbath

12 And the Lord said to Moses, 13 “You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. 16 Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. 17 It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”

18 And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. (ESV)

17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.’ ”

God set an example for us and look, even to this day some 8000 years later (New Earth Theory), we follow that example. RIGHTEOUS DUDE!!!!!!

Hey Guys! I missed you on SOTD yesterday.. but I’m back!

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

These verses really stuck out to me this morning. It’s a great reminder that God chooses each and every one of us individually for his kingdom. We are all given different gifts to bring glory to him. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” Let’s all try to focus on what gift God has given us and be effective with it in our daily lives!

Romans 12:4-6 “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.

  3. Riley Hancock says:

We should Make diciples for God like the artistic designs then.

  4. Beth Lauder says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

In this passage it is clear that God has given Bezalel and Oholiab the spiritual gift of being skilled craftsmen. Spiritual gifts are a gift/talent/ability used for the common good of the church. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 says, “There are different gifts, but the same spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God who works in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” Every single Christian has been given a spiritual gift. Are you using yours? As Christians we are called to use our gifts to serve in our local church to build up the members of our Christian community. Next weekend we are having a ministry fair at Compass. If you are not using your spiritual gifts by serving the church, check out the different ministries in need and commit to being obedient to using your spiritual gifts!

    Good chapter :)

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

Is this where people got the idea like God given talents? God gave Bezalel and Oholiab these talents of ability to craft for His glory so that they can craft what God commands them to do.

13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

“so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.” Amen to this! There is no other thing that can set us apart from sin, it’s all God and He deserves all the praise and all the glory when we defeat some sin in our lives! We want to do the complete opposite of what God wants us to do. We want to sin, to obey our sinful flesh and just please ourselves. But God gives us the stregth to fight the spirtual battle with our flesh and have victory over sin!

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

Look how intense and how seriously God takes His commands. God is saying if you do not obey my command you shall be put to death. We don’t take sin seriously today like that, like if we do it we die. This would make us fear God, and fearing God will set us apart from sin. So we got to fear God.

17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.’ ”

Again like we said in Genesis it’s 6 days, not thousand of years like some atheist and people not of God believe the earth was created in.

18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

When I was thinking of two stone tablets I immediatley thought it was the Ten Commandments, but my study Bible says it’s both covenant documents. That’s so cool it was inscribed by the finger of God!

  6. Jenae Naee (= says:

6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

Okay so God commanded them to build all these things, perfectly and exactly how he wanted them, BUT he provided all the craftsmen to do it! So God is going to command us to do things in life, but he will always help us out and give us the ability to do it. Its so awesome
God i pray that you will show me a certain command today and that i will fulfill your work out for you.

  7. Trembling From Fear of The Lord, B says:

    short chapter, but great message!
Like most you guys are saying God did give us special gifts. He made each of us unique to do a certain job that no one else can do, whether it’s working with little kids, or it’s setting up before church starts, God uses you to do these actions and to prepare His church and people. None of the things that we do today are from us but from God and God needs to be the one we praise not ourselves! Like Pastor Mike said, there’s no pride in Christianity! GOD IS SOOO GOOD! Let’s praise Him forever because we are weak, and we can’t do anything unless God allows us to do it! :)

  8. M@x says:

13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

Wow! This is an intense command! God tells the Isrealites to not do anything on the Sabbath. He commands them to do this so that they are set apart from others, so that others can know that God calls us to be differant. We may not observe the sabbath anymore, but the concept of being seperate from the world is the same. We are to live “so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.” We have to be radically differant from the people of the world. How could they see God in us if we are blending in? We have to show them with our lives, because actions speak louder then words.

  9. Old man new heart, thankful for the Savior's plan! says:

Perfet thoughts M@x! We are called to be different and not ‘secret agents’ of God. He wants us to be known as His disciples because our actions reflect a new hear inside! Let’s live it today, not to be saved but because we are saved just like the the Israelites – chosen without merit!

  10. Allen McAnlis says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts- 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,

Our gifts an abilities are gifts from God. All thoses people winning gold metals and what not from intense training is semi-ture, but in the long run it is God who gave them the ability in the first place. He is the one who enabled them to endure such hard training and to strengthen their abilities. Without God we are nothing, our life would be meaningless. Since we have God however, our lives should be spent trying to please Him and further His kingdom for His name and glory alone.

  11. Kaitlyn says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

Just like Bezalel we each have different, specific, spiritual gifts that God has given us. (1 Corinthians 14:12) we need to be using our spiritual gifts God has given us to build up and help the church! : )

  12. Angela says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

See this really shows how God picks everyone of us to be his diciples and to bring others to Him through us! Like Bobby’s sermon, he expects us to not be lazy and not care but to get up and do the things he has chosen for us to do!

  13. Shelby CST :) says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

These verses show how God really takes his commands seriously. I want to obey God and take his commands seriously because that is important to him.

  14. Spencer Camp says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

In view of Pastor Mike’s sermon on Romans 3:27-31, notice that God is the one who has “filled” Bezalel with the “Spirit of God, with skill, ability, and knowledge in all kinds of crafts”. God is the one doing the action in this sentence. It is God who has shown grace to Bezalel gifting him with these special abilities. In light of that, since we are nothing without God’s grace, let us use the talents (gifts of God) for the work of God, just like a farmer would sow to reap of the harvest. Let us use the talents God has gifted us with to further his glory and kingdom. God did it all.

  15. Sarah G.! says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

Isn’t it amazing to see how God has given us each unique gifts?!? soooo cool!! I hope that all of us have or will find a purpose to for these gifts that we may glorify God in using them! We can’t let a good thing go to waste! :D

  16. Julia Bradley says:

God fully equips us to do His work. That is so encouraging! He doesn’t need us to complete His work, but He allows us to be a part of the blessing. How awesome!

    CST :)

  17. Cameron says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

so many times in the Gospels we see that Jesus debates the Pharisees on the subject of the Sabbath, because Christ does many miracles on the Sabbath days. He demonstrates in a few parables (like the Lost Coin and the Lost Sheep) that we can do important things and save lives on the Sabbath (like He did), but that we shouldn’t work on the Sabbath. however, Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath, so we are not held to any OT rituals (Colossians 2:16). this doesnt mean that we should disregard OT, for the OT shows us our sin that we may repent and put or faith in Christ, like Pastor Mike talked about a few weeks ago

  18. Chelseaaaa says:

15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

Is this to be taken even in today’s day and age? I mean, we clean and work on Sunday’s (and Saturdays, which ever one is the real sabbath day) Are we truly supposed to rest and not do work? If so then what is considered work?

  19. PaYtOn :] says:

12 Then the LORD said to Moses,
13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

We need to remember God on His day and we need to praise HIm not only on His day but everyday. God is awesome and created us and sometimes we forget that and put Him off. But we need to show one another that Christ is Lord and we need to preach His name for generations that come may know His name also. :]

***WORK HARD TO GET HIS WORD OUT THERE SO ALL CAN KNOW!!!***

  20. Adam Duarte says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

This verse really made me realize how seriously God takes our obedience. If anyone were to not observe the Sabbath, they were to be killed – we don’t have that kind of serious fear of the Lord in society anymore. We need to be taking God’s commandments more seriously every day.

  21. Jeff says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

I think this is so sweet that God gives us all deferent gifts. We need to remember them and use them. So what is a gift we can use this week?

  22. Rebekah Foreman (HERE TO WORK FOR GOD) says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts- 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,

God gives everyone individual skills and God gave us all gifts and we need to use them. Everything is for a purpose God gave Bezalel and Oholiab these talents of ability to craft for His glory. AMAZING!!! God gave me the ability of sports and therefore I will use them to reach out to people!!

  23. Laura Johnson says:

2″See I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3and I have filled him with the spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts

God has given everyone a special gift that they’re good at in life. But we can’t let our talents go to waste, instead we need to use them to their full ability for the Lord. No matter how small or how big our talents are, we need to use them towards God.

  24. great comment kyle :)

13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

Thats great. We use the Sabbath to worship and honor God. God cares for us and knows we need rest and we should take advantage of that and glorify Him. He makes us holy even though we are unholy.

18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God

That is so awesome!!! Moses had such an honor to speak and meet with God. The last part really struck me. Wowww God wrote the tablets physically. I didn’t know that.

  25. Jacob Foreman says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

God blesses us with all the skills and talents we have. We need to use these talents to bring honor and glory to the Lord and if we do it for God, it is worship. If you are a talented artist, always paint to bring glory to God. If you can sing, do it for God. If you are blessed with intelligence, study for the glory of God. Everything about us was hand crafted from God and we need to be thankful for the gifts he has blessed us with. God picked Bezalel to be an excellent craftsman and he will later use those gifts to bring glory to the Lord by furnishing the tent. What an awesome way to use a gift from God!

  26. kelly causky says:

16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.

The covenants that God made for always reminds me of his enduring faithfulness. He never gives up on his promises and because of that, we can have eternal faith in him. The covenant God has for us today is the forgiveness of sin. Praise him for his love for us and his faithfulness!

  27. Dan Lauder says:

6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

God gives people all kinds of different skills and talents. While most of the world uses them for their own glory and benefit, God’s people are to use their skills to bring glory to God. What skills do you have? Use them for His glory not just your own.

  28. Emily says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

  29. Emily says:

woops.. I didn’t mean to post that :)… about those verses:

I think it is so cool to read in actual scripture that God point blank says how he has given those specific people specific gifts for a certain perpose. So, the things that each and everyone one of us are good at are given to us for a reason that God has planned out! And, we can use these gifts to bring Him glory here on earth!

  30. It's Daniel Yo! says:

6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

I also like (i know other’s have pointed this out) how God has given people specific traits that they are going to use for Him in the future. Maybe even people from our church will do that. But we need to remember that in any circumstance, there is always a way to honor God.

  31. Beth Williams says:

15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

I agree that this verse suprised me with how intense the punishment is for not obeying God. If God takes his commands so seriously, so should we!

  32. Christy Beymer says:

15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.

wow! the last part of this verse really stood out to me! put to death!!! God is telling us how important it is to have the 7th day as a rest day. but it says clearly in this verse it is holy to the LORD. We need to be giving our time to worship God. It is sooo important and he asks for it in the bible! i mean it doesnt take very much time, and plus its going to the one who created us! :)

  33. Zach Senger says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

This verse makes it clear that we are given skill ability and knowledge in crafts from God. How are we going to use these gifts. We are commanded to use them for the Lord. Let us make sure that we are using our talents and gifts for God and to glorify Him!!!!!!!!!!

  34. hunter says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

Like Jeff, I think it’s cool that God gives us a bunch of different gifts. The important thing that we have to remember though is to use the gifts that He gives us for His glory and not our own. When we glorify ourselves it results in pride and an unbelief in God; we begin to think that we can supply our every need instead of God. This has a bunch of sinfull side affects like anxiety and selfishness because of our lack of faith. He is our shepherd, and we have everything we need Psalm 23:1 :)

  35. christopher eriksen says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,

5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

I just thought how it was cool how God filled people with His Spirit to give them the ability to make the things just as He wanted them with perfect skill. Like a lot have said, God has given us certain talents and we always need to remember that they are from God and not from ourselves. And in stead of using them to lift ourselves higher than others, we need to use them for God’s glory. Furthermore, like God made sure that specific gems were cut in a certain way and the gold was designed correctly, we need to be producing high quality work, serving God with all our hearts to give Him the glory He deserves and not slacking off.

  36. Taylin Reinholtz says:

13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy

Okay I’m a little confused. Saturday is the Sabbath day, but we treat Sunday like the Sabbath. But even then we don’t treat the whole day with reverence to God. It’s more like just a day that we go to church and then hang out or do homework for the rest of the day. The focus kind of goes off God. So now I’m confused on what we’re supposed to do on the Sabbath today. Is it okay if we do our homework or whatever as long as we keep the message in our heads and keep meditating on it? Well, we should be doing that all the time. Hmm… I’m confused.

  37. Janiel V (C.S.T) says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

The Lord’s day~sabbath~ is soo holy that anyone who doesnt obey it, is punished severely. isnt the Sabbath for “resting”? yeah, we should go to church every sunday to praise God and listen to His Word, but shouldnt we do that everyday? ~thinking about His Word and praising Him, I mean.

  38. Alex Mishreki says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

I really loved this verse. Like everyone else commented, I also saw how it can be compared to the gifts God has given us. A gift that we can use for God’s glory can be anything from filling a need in the children’s ministry (if you’re good with kids), to playing worship (if you’re good with an instrument). Any talent that we have should be used to glorify God, because He is the one who gave us that talent in the first place!

  39. Katie says:

I’m wondering how many of us actually think to use the gifts and abilities God has given us for His service. What skill or ability has God given you that you haven’t been using to serve Him? Let’s focus this week on serving Him with the specific gifts that He has given us. This is one way be can be giving Him glory in everything that we do!

  40. Cristina Brower CST :) says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

How many of us work on the Sabbath? MOST of us! i don’t think any of us realize that God commands us to keep this day holy and focus on Him.

  41. Mechell C.S.T : ) says:

12 Then the LORD said to Moses,
13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

I thought the placement of this verse on the Sabbath was interesting. God gives the craftsman the skill and ability to complete the work for the tabernacle; He then speaks to Moses regarding the Sabbath. I think it might have been easy for these craftsmen to ignore Gods commands, thinking that their work on the tabernacle might be more important than honoring the Sabbath. After all these men were doing some pretty important work but God is saying, nothing is more important than His Commands! I think this is a great reminder for us all. We might run around, busy, doing God’s work but if we are not following His commands in the process, we are in sin!

  42. Alison says:

2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.

God gives us specific skills to honor Him with. We are disappointing Him if we don’t do the work He has ordained us to do with the gifts He has given us. Its just important to remember to give the glory to God, not take credit on our own. Any good or perfect thing comes from God… its not good stuff we do on our own.

  43. 14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

The Sabbeth day subject is always a little confusing when it comes to reading the old testiment because as Cam said, as Christians, the New Testiment (Christ) doesn’t hold us to keeping it. As you read more into verses in the New Testiment God shows that it is more important to live each and every day for him, focused on him rather than relying on festivals or things like keeping the sabeth day holy (which isn’t a bad thing at all) but in the eyes of the pharases and people like that, became a superficial way of earning salvation. So…the bottom line is obey God always, and be focused on Him.

  44. Bobby Blakey says:

The Sabbath – Just to clarify the Sabbath is on Saturday and we do not have to keep it today in the New Covenant as Jesus made clear.

Also, notice how God has gifted the people to do the tasks he has asked of them. He has also given us gifts and we need to use them for his glory (1 Peter 4:10-11). In fact, Pastor Mike will be preaching on using our spiritual gifts next weekend when we have our ministry fair!

Next three days are huge here on Scripture of the Day! Let’s break the record True North!!!

  45. Natasha B :) says:

14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you
16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.

Basically God is telling Moses to tell the Israelites, to keep holy the sabbath day. That they must rest one day from labor(7th day) to remember that God is holy. Just like today we give honor and praise to our father in heaven on Sunday/Saturday, reserving that day only for him.

  46. Ryan Damato says:

We’ve had some days of reading through the complexity of the tabernacle and on those days, we’ve reflected on other characteristics of our faith. As I read through this chapter, it brings me back to the understanding of the seriousness of the tabernacle. God used all the right people with all the right skill sets and the very best materials. God demands excellence and I’ve heard him referred to as “my buddy” or “the big man upstairs”. What a travesty to think how laid back we’ve made the creator of the universe look.
My prayer is that I never allow myself to think those thoughts again as I know that there have been times of irreverence in my walk. Forgive me God! You deserve more and I want to give you more.

  47. Princess Di says:

3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-

God has filled each of us with His Spirit and also with skills, abilities, and knowledge in various areas, as well as talents, etc – each unique and each with a purpose. Use the talents and skills and the wisdom that God has given you because it is there for a reason. It’s easy to question our purpose here on earth but I think we just need to look and find the special things God has instilled in us. But the most important thing that is inside us is the Holy Spirit himself!

  48. Dan Blankenship says:

    Exodus 31

In this chapter we hear God talking to Moses about who is to do His work.
Vs. 2 I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-
Vs. 6 I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:

Ironically Bobby message was all about working as a Christian. Have you ever embraced God work for your life? If you haven’t you have not experienced true joy which is found in serving Christ. If you have you can attest to the reward that God gives when we serve Him. I challenge you to pray and seek a way of serving God full time and you will experience the joy that the Lord rewards. Don’t waist away your life as a sluggard but store up for yourself treasure in Heaven. Life is short!

    Acts 20:35
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

  49. 14 ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.

This is a veryy differentt verse
cause today we dont get put to death
but we should rest on the sabbath
so we should follow Gods commands and
    do what we are told
