This earth we live on in amazing and the Lord created it with such care and with His hands. Everything here on earth is Gods and we need to respect it. Everyone who lives on earth is Gods he created everything

This verse is a good challenge, reminding me that I am sinful and God is holy. I must strive to have purity in my heart and actions and to wholeheartedly love God and be all about the truth. I’m so thankful that in Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit these qualities will be growing and increasing as I obey his Word.

I echo everything that people have said about this passage! This verse is so simple and clear, yet straight to the point! Everything in all creation was made by God! It is so huge and amazing to think about! We are all so blessed with what we have been provided with, and we should be thankful and appreciate all that The Lord has done and created!

God owns us!!! This verse is a great reminder that God control everything in the world and everything belongs to God!! But like how the old saying goes, “with great power comes great responsibility”. Yah God controls everything in the world, but he also takes the punishment for us and lets us put all of our struggles, worries, doubts, fears, anger all onto Him!! That is AWESOME!!! I Love this Psalm! Just by hearing these words, it makes me think about just how blessed we are as human beings to be living in this great world that God has created for us, and that we should treat it with respect. We have to realize here on earth that we would not be here without him, and that our time here on the Lord’s earth is just temporary, and eternal life is ahead of us in Heavenif we are servants to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We should be trying to follow everything written in verse four. throughout our entire lives as christians we should be running the race to receive the prize. I am going to live my life trying to follow this verse. I don’t ever want to turn away from God.

This verse explains the reason why the harvest is so plentiful. Since God owns all of us, we shouldn’t be afraid to witness to others. God will help us evangelize. Not only this, but this verse can give us confidence that trials in this world are only temporary. God has control over the situations we experience. Be secure in his protection.

God created everyone and everything in this universe and sometimes i regret the things he has given me and what he has created.

This verse is really good because I need to always be trying to live a cleaner, purer life. This means having less sin that corrupts me. I dont know about you but I want to be apart of the generation that seeks God and his holy face with all of our hearts. This should be something we all strive to do and ask the Lord for help to accomplish. This verse is short and straight to the point. Lets rise up as young people and be the generation that seeks God and all we wanna do is see his face!! We have to remember the verse, “do not let people look down on you because you are young, but set an example…” Lets do that!! I need to pray to ask God for help to seek him, and to be so Godly that i set an example so that other people will seek him as well!!

this verse stood out to me because GOD VALUES HONESTY! being dishonest can be very easy especially if you are not standing firm. without honesty, having a relationship with God is impossible. if we lie to those around us, God cannot hear us because we begin to build a wall of self-deception. These are great verses to follow throughout our lives. He who has clean hands and a good heart that follows and lives for Christ, who does not lift up their soul to an idol and make an idol more important than God, will recieve blessing from the Lord and eternity with Him! This is a great psalm to live by!!!

This can be really hard seeing that we have tons of things around us that can be idols. We need to really make sure that God is our life (a.k.a. not just our first priority…quote from Ben Blakey).

This verse reallyy stuck out to me. The fact that even the demons always realize that He is the King of glory, and sometimes we falter and lie to ourselves thinking that “it’s okay” to compromise in one area or another, and by this put him down as Yahweh Almighty. In Acts 16 the demon possessed girl completely acknowledges His sovereignty, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” I want to always realize how high and glorious God is and that he, as verse one states, owns over the world and everything in it. I need to be praying that I wouldn’t forget the holiness of God!

This verse is amazing!!! Now I know where the song “Give us Clean Hands” came from! haha. I had to put the song on for some inspiration while posting :) We need to be seeking God’s face. That should be the only thing on our minds! Look at what God has done in the past for those who he loves, Abraham, Noah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph.. and the list just keeps going! We are serving a powerful and mighty God who deserves everything we have. Our prayer should be that we would all seek God’s holy face, and seek to do what is right in his eyes. “Oh God, let us be a generation that seeks, that seeks your face, Oh God of Jacob!”

Especially living here in today’s world in the OC it’s really hard to not struggle with idolatry. We need to make God our life, not just our number one priority. He’s all we live for, our whole purpose on earth. We’re not to fool around or put ourself in purposeful situations where we could be tempted by the world. Sometimes, I don’t even realize that I’m commiting idoletry when I am. It’s not the golden calf or weird statues anymore. It’s being on either 2 teams- God’s team or Satan’s team. I loved the revival messages when Pastor Mike was saying that Idolatry is all about me and how you can please yourself when actually we should be living an “All About God” and not bowing down to the pressure fo the world. It’s putting ourselves above God when we are like well let’s compromise and do this and not follow the Word of God. his reminds me of the beatitudes it says that “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8) God wants us to be pure and sincere. True purity comes from God.

I love this verse and there’s a song after it too. We want to seek God’s face. We want to draw closer in our walk with him everyday. I want to pray everyday for me to keep wanting to spend more time and wanting to seek Him out each and everyday. I want to not be able to get enough of the Word of God and continually thirst for His living water.

These 2 verses totally remind me of the song “Give us clean hands” Part of the lyrics to the song are “Give us clean hands,and give us pure hearts, Let us not lift our souls to another. Oh God let us be, a generation that seeks, Who seeks Your face, Oh God of Jacob” I really like these verses because Christ died for us to purify us and gave us new life so someday we won’t get what we deserve by going to hell but instead we get to be in His prescence glorifying Him.

Wow, lots of posts today! Good job guys! The whole earth is the LORD’s. From the smallest of creatures to the most magnificent sunset, everything we are and that is, is the LORD’s. That is why only GOD could save us. He made the rules, he created the earth so all that it is and all that it contains is his also.

God created the earth in 6 days and on the 7th day he rested. That truly is amazing. The most a human could do in 7 days is to make a pool, nothing compared to the awesome power of God. God is good and we need to fear him and understand what he can do. If we all think about how vast the earth is, and that God created that in 6 days, that will help us to understand how awesome God is. God is amazing and we need to pray for the fear of the Lord.

The Lord created everything in this world and everything belongs to him. Everywhere i look i can see his glory, and everywhere i can see his face. This reminds me alot of the songs that we sing in church and i love those songs because they are so true! God’s beuty and majesy are everywhere, we just have to learn to look at it that way.

i think that when God says lift up your heads….that the king of glory may come in that is saying as Gods people we should open our hearts and our minds so that the king of glory.god..may enter our hearts and our thoughts.

Even though God is almighty and powerful, we who are Christians can go to him at any time we want. Jesus paid for our sins and it is awesome to have God on our side.

Our great God created such a beautiful world. It and everyone who lives on it belong to Him. We are nothing without God and our lives belong to Him. He could take our life at any second. We belong to the LORD and I need to always remember that. I belong to Him and I am not in control of anything. I need to remeber that it is HIS life, not MINE.

Thanks to Jesus Christ, we all can someday stand in the presence of God. His blood has made us white as snow and purifies our hearts. We must continue to watch out for idols in our lives. Nothing is more important than God. If we do so our reward will be great in heaven and we will spend an eternity with our Creator.

Only those who have Christ’s blood covering their sins may. Because Christ took our place we are considered sons of God. How amazing.

God has control of everything at all times, and even though people may deny His existence and try to live for themselves, God is still has dominance over them. But when it goes on to talk about who may be in God’s presence, it also made me think of how we as Christians specifically belong to God as His children. We have been taken out of the world and have been consecrated to Him. We have been set apart and should be living purely for His glory. I pray that God would clean my hands and purify my heart like in verse 4 and that He would guide me in living solely for Him and not seek the world to which I had previously been enslaved. For I belong to God now and should be living completely for Him as I wait to be taken to be in His presence forever.

God owns everything, He made it. Because of this I hate when people talk about “mother” earth and things along the lines of that. It is disrespecting the God who gave you life. This verse is awesome because it shows that the world is no accident but that a creator created it.

Actually when I read this verse it reminded me of how awesome the Lord is! He’s stronger than I could ever imagine, able to change the hearts of any man! I thought about this, because I was just talking to someone that was in my class last year. His heart seems hardened because of his jewish upraising but now that I read this again, it makes me think about how God can do anything, because He is the king of glory. He can change his heart for the better, and maybe he’ll listen to what I said and change his life for Christ. :) It’s a spiritual battle field, are you ready?

Reading this verse and this Psalm was so awesome! Throughout the Psalm David is describing God, and all that He is, and just to read that is very uplifting and awakening! He rules over EVERY living thing in this Earth He is the highest of heights, and almighty. That is just so amazing when we think about it. In our lives, we can think of people who are in charge, but that doesn’t even come close to how much God rules over!! And at the end of this Psalm, (verse 10) just sums up even more on who the King of glory trully is and emphasizes it even more! That is just awesome!!

This is some Gospel-me:
We may only be admitted into the presence of God because Christ had clean hands and a pure heart, and didn’t lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. If we have faith in the finished holy work of Christ then we are reconciled to his name, receiving the “ticket” into God’s presence.

I love the metaphors here. My prayer today is that I will continue to leave the door to my heart open so that the King of glory may come in, and not close the door by turning to idols or swearing by what is false.

Knowing this, why would we be willing to compromise in so many areas? Every time you sin you do not have “clean hands and a pure heart”, so we should avoid such situations when possible. God wants us to keep His commands…He favors the righteous. When we sin we are separating ourselves from God and could not “stand in His holy place”. Without Christ we would have no hope.

This verse just brought many praise songs to my head with the lyrics King of glory, including one we sing at True North Hosanna!! I can’t wait to see this King of glory, and for now I’m going to praise him for being the King of glory!! He deserves all the praise!! :D

God is the creator of everything! He is in total control of all that goes on. He is the God of the universe and knows each and every detail about our lives. Luke 12:7 says that even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. I trust him completely with all my life. He knows us better than we know ourselves, so why WOULDN’T we lean on him for everything?!

Let’s remember this as we live or lives that anyone who has not been “cleansed” by God can not have a relationship with Him. Because of God’s absolute holiness it is impossible for us to approach Him. It is only through being washed by the blood of Christ that we can have a relationship with our Creator. Praise be to Him!

This verse just goes to show us nobody can get into heaven unless they have guiltless actions and pure hearts.Also we cannot have any idols. Not even one idol is acceptable. We can have can have nothing that comes before God in importance.

This verse is a reminder that we belong to the Lord, not ourselves. I need to do everything for Him because I am His and He made me for a purpose.

Only those who seek God will receive vindication from death. Christ is the only one who can give us “clean hands and a pure heart”. Nothing we can do will give us this vindication- it is through Christ who is called our savior. How awesome that we have a loving God that has already conquered death for our sake!

This is a great reminder that nothing on earth truly belongs to us…all of our possessions are actually God’s–they’re only ours for a short time. Remembering that everything comes from and belongs to God should help us to have generous hearts.

I love verse 4 because it is talking about how no one can reach heaven except those who who have not lifted their souls up to ANY idols and have kept their hearts pure and their hands clean. What really stood out to me was to not lift up our soul to an idol. Now i doubt any of us have actually prayed to an idol but putting worldly things before God is just as bad! I know that I’ve done that so many times but each time I pray about it, it gets a little easier to put God first every time. Now my prayer is to live completely and utterly for Him in a life of NO COMPROMISE!! :D

this verse is so awesome! i love how in all of the psalms the psalmists just pour out their heart to God in praises to Him and His glory. the God we serve is the King of glory, He is the Lord Almighty, and we are to serve Him and worship Him. if we worship the Lord like David does, and constantly dwell on His power and His mercy and His grace, our lives we be changed in that we would live for Him everyday and not ourselves.

I like this verse because it tells who GOD is. HE is the KING of glory and the LORD Almighty. No one can stand up to HIM or find wrong against HIM HE has always done right and we have done nothing to deserve HIS grace HE gives it because HE is LOVE and HE is merciful.

This verse is important because in my life, i need to realize that I belong to God, He is in control, He has a plan, and even if it is not what I want, I need to submit to Him and the people He has put in a leadership position above me. I am living for His glory and will rather than my own.

We often think that some material things actually belong to us. In fact, we may have made things with our skills, and thus we think we have ownership of those.
It may be true that certain material possessions belong to us for now, but in the end, everything comes from–and thus belongs to–God. He created the earth, everything in/on it, and the whole universe. We have nothing that didn’t originally come from God’s creation and thus from God. It really all belongs to Him. We are simply the ones who have been temporarily entrusted with the Earth. So let’s be good stewards of the things He has given us (not putting any of our possessions before the Creator) and let’s remember that in the end, everything is His.

These verses really point out our desperate need for our Savior – Jesus Christ – who makes us look like we do have clean hands and a pure heart to the perfect creator of the universe! I mean, yes we can attempt to be pure and have clean hands with the help of God once we are saved, but what about before we have even repented? That moment when we switch from fully living for ourselves and worshipping what we want, to fully living for the Lord and giving our lives completely to Him? It says in Romans 4 that, “to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, His faith is CREDITED as righteous,” meaning that Gos sees Jesus’ holy life instead of our filthy sinfull lives up to that point! Wow! That makes me want to be more and more like Christ every day because it pleases God. And how could I not want to please God after what He’s done?

Ryan you are SO right, none of us are without sin on this side of heaven, but those of us who are IN Christ are seen, will be seen, as perfect, holy and blameless on the day of our salvation (the finale!). We need to strive however for a pure heart, for purity is honoring to the Lord here on this earth…that is in ALL things…purity in heart, mind, action, and speech. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

Obviously, none of us is truly “clean & pure,” but through Christ we will be seen as such when we stand before the Holy God. While we are being sanctified in our walk with Christ, we show our confidence in what He’s done for us by placing Him 1st above everything we do–no idols.

This verse is the song that goes, “Oh God let us be, a generation that seeks . . . ect. Give us clean hands, give us pure hearts, let us not lift our souls to another.”

Just like it says above in verse 4, we are to only lift our souls to God and God alone. As the Ten Commandments state, we are to have no other gods/idols above God. Those people, the ones who only live for God will be granted the enormous privilage to ascend the hill of the Lord. And to also stand in His holy place. Otherwise, if you continue to live for whatever you idolize, you won’t be given that oppertunity.

This is so encouraging to me. I am praying that our generation will seek God and that there would be a revival in all of our schools. Before that will work we must be in the word every day and living for Christ.

God is the creator of all things. He has power over all of his creations. As creations of God, we should obey our master, our creator. Because without Him, we wouldn’t be alive and breathing. God provides the Bible, a God-breathed book that says what you should do, and what you shouldn’t do. Since God himself provided it for us, why wouldn’t you want to read it? You can get to know God, and all the people you will see in heaven. Knowing that, I read my Bible. :)

Everything i have is not mine. It all belongs to God and so this fact helps me when it comes to giving things to those who need it more than i do or even lettting someone borrow something because we dont get it after we die. And its something the Lord blessed us with so we should share that with people. Also i am God’s. He owns me and i like having the attitude of “God do what you want with me and lead me whereever you want” because he can and he will so if we have that attitude, then no matter where he takes us, we wont be dissapointted

We humans are God’s property, that might sound weird but it’s true! Everything in the world is the Lord’s! I’m thinking of this analogy right now, like you know we have property that we might use to enjoy our life. As property for God we should trying to please God by living our lives for Him daily!

These verses remind me of the Third Day song “King of Glory.” I’m sure these verses inspired that song. These verses depict how God is the King of all glory. Everything is His creation, His invention, His idea. He is strong and mighty, nobody even stands a chance against Him. He is the Lord Almighty and He is in control of everything. These verses show how truly awesome God is! He is the King of Glory! haha now i think i’m goign to go listen to that Third Day song… :D

God is in charge. So why dont we do what He says? If God is in charge and has dominating power over us then we need to obey Him. God is not some guy in the sky who just lets people do what they want and get away with it. The earth and everything in it are God’s and he will judge you by how you live in this world.

We see very clearly through this verse of who can stand in God’s presence. It is only he who has clean hands and a pure heart, not seeking after idols. As Beth had said, my study Bible says that clean hands refers to guiltless actions. A pure heart refers to the right attitudes and motives. There is but one person who has lived a perfect life with guiltless actions and the right attitudes and motives in everything, and that is Jesus Christ. Yet through the sacrifice of this perfect Jesus Christ, we can be saved from hell and be credited with the righteousness of Jesus Christ, if we repent of our sins and place our trust in Christ. Then, those that have been credited with the righteousness of Jesus Christ, though they were filthy rotten sinners, can actually spend eternity with God in heaven. Yet Christians must still remember that it was not them or their works that get them to heaven, but they need to constantly remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and thank him for it! I need to be so thankful for my salvation, that I will not have to suffer for eternity in the fires of hell but instead spend eternity in heaven in the presence of the LORD. And although I can never be perfect, only trusting in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, I need to strive for perfection in growing in sanctification, that even though I won’t be perfect, I am giving my all to be the best that I can be!

Thats definatley not me. And that is definatley sad to say:/ but then again, only jesus christ was holy, and set apart from sin. Yet i need to remember that i shouldnt use that as an excuse to do sin. I need to remember that i am called to live above reproach as a Christian, and live in Christs example He set for me.

A common phrase we hear and say a lot is: “It’s mine!” but really it isn’t. It’s God’s. God owns EVERYTHING on and in this earth. And our Creator is so amazing that He gives us the choice of our salvation. He doesn’t force us to be robots but to be individuals. He knows each of us by name and loves us all the same. SO give to Him what belongs to Him. And give Him your heart, for He gave it to you first. (It’s the least we could do) THANK YOU GOD! :]

These verses demonstrate the importance of works. Although the Bible is very clear about the fact that works in no way save us. The Bible does say that faith without works is dead. We can not have faith with no evidence to back it up. Our lives need to demonstrate our faith. As James 2:22 says, our works just help complete our faith. But they do not save us at all. We need to keep that in mind. No works could ever justify us living in eternal peace. We need to be thankful for God sharing his mercy.

If I want to be a part of a revived generation that seeks the face of God, then I must first check my own hands and my own heart. Am I lifting up my souls to any idols?

One verse I was thinking about yesterday was Psalm 86:11, where the Psalmist asks for an “undivided heart.” That is my prayer today, as well, that my heart would be totally united in following God, and not in any way divided or seeking after an idol or impure.

This verse makes it very clear that only those with clean hands and a pure heart may enter into God’s presence. My study Bible gave a simple yet important definition of clean hands and a pure heart. Clean hands means that you have guiltless actions. A pure heart means that you have right attitudes and motives. It is clear that no one who has ever lived, except for Jesus, has had a guiltless life with the right attitudes and motives. We need a Savior because God can not be in the presence of sin. WIthout the perfect life and substitutionary death of Christ credited to our account we are doomed to an eternity of separation from God in hell. This morning I am praising God that He sent Jesus to earth to die for me, the ultimate sacrifice of love. I am grateful that now I have clean hands and a pure heart through Christ. Thank you, Lord!

The Bible makes it very clear (and in many places) that God created the heavens and the earth. Romans 1:20 says that the creation clearly points to the existence of God and his power. Men are without excuse if they look at it and deny God exists and made it all happen. As the creator, he owns it, and everything in it. He makes the rules and answers to nobody.

This verse is really important in our world today. So many people here live their lives completely for themselves, thinking only of themselves. I’m sure a lot of us Christians have problems with this. God says that everything and everyone is his. period. How can we live for ourself if we belong to God? That would be like a servant doing whatever he wanted all the time no matter what his owner said. We need to be faithful servants to God all the time!

The Lord is King of the heavens and the earth. He has all power.

The world is filled with people who serve themselves instead of God, who would say they are with Christ but who deny Him with their actions (Titus 1:16), or who would be honest and say that they hate God outright. But though none of these people choose to follow God, He still has control over them. Everything that happens here on earth happens with God’s full knowledge (Matthew 10:29) and according to His will – which is a benefit to those who do trust Him (Romans 8:28). We need to be praising God for His power and control over the world and His faithfulness to us even when we are not faithful to Him by falling into sin.

This is saying that God favors those who have kept a pure heart and has followed Gods commands. When we are righteous, it makes God extremely pleased, so He will let those who are pure enter His kingdom. He will bless us when we are pure and He will make our lives better for it. This chapter outlines just how important it is to follow God’s word.
