Looking forward to seeing it all come together, for the glory of God, that His Name may be boasted on the internet and potentially reach THE WHOLE WORLD!

I pray that God would bless me with the boldness to share the Gospel with people at school. I sometimes let a fear of rejection or losing them as a friend get in the way, but if i really care about the I should want to tell them about Jesus Christ. I pray that I wouldn’t let these fears get in the way of God’s word and that God would give me the boldness to invite someone to True North United!

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. 14 But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition.

The power of the Holy Spirit is mind-blowing! The Pharisees had no response. They were even blown away at how mighty the Holy Spirit was working throughout common men.

What we ashamed of? Jesus said it is better to have the Holy Spirit than even even he himself here on this earth. The book of Acts (and the rest of the new testament) proves this. We have the Holy Spirit, so what are we waiting for? Let’s see Revival erupt-God is mighty to work in us for his glory to seek and to save the lost! All we need to do is get out there and be bold for him!

If anything, I want to simply echo this prayer. The apostles may have been eyewitnesses of Jesus; they may have been given unique authority by the Holy Spirit; but the focus of their message was the same truth that I have today. Namely that Jesus Christ came to save sinners. They had experienced the sweetness of that truth, and as a result they could not help sharing it with the world. Even here at the beginning of their ministry they faced opposition and, as anyone who has read Acts will tell you, the persecution is only just beginning. Yet in spite the friction, they pressed on. I believe they were able to do so in no small part due to the fact that they prayed and God answered.
I pray that the LORD would grant me boldness and authentic love that I might continue to declare His Word all the days of my life. Amen.

I love this verse! It is encouraging to have a verse that is so clear that the only way to be saved is through Jesus. There is no way anyone can do certain things to earn salvation and there is no other person that one can put their faith in to be saved. Jesus is the only way! I am praising God tonight for providing Jesus so that I could be saved! I am also thanking Him for saving students at Revival! Let the revival continue!

I find it soo awesome that while there were haters, more people got saved. Its true, NO ONE can stop the Revival! God, the creator of the universe, is on our side. No amount of haters can ever bring us down, even though we may be the minority. Its crazy to think that either we can say that Jesus Christ is Lord now or later when we die, but no matter what it will happen to every person that has ever lived. It is so awesome to see how God worked in this book and saved so many people. With so many people getting saved, I am sure that a lot of people got annoyed, possibly even a whole lot more than we experience here and now. Yet God has still be so good and saved so many more people throughout history. Knowing that no one can stop the revival gives me encouragement to pursure spreading it to so many more people!

This reminds me of the verse from the Prodigal Son sermons during Revival where the father told his son who refused to go to the party that “whatever is mine is yours also”. You would say that whatever your parents own, you technically own also, right? The food in your pantry is not just for your mom because she is the one who bought it, anyone in your family is free to have it! Well, our Christian family is the same way. Whatever is mine is everyone else’s. Its so easy to just SAY this, but I need to be actually doing this! Any time anyone wants anything I need to be ready,&desiring to help them! If my brother Jordan was thirsty, I know I would give him water, or anything else he needed. I need to put others desires&needs before my own. Jesus gave me all he has, I should give all I have for the Lord&His kingdom!

This is so awesomeeeeee! It is so cool to see the revival beging here. Their numbers are growing massively! They have gone from 12, to 200, and now to 5000! Talk about a revival! I pray that this very thing would happen at the High Schools of OC! I pray that people would recognize the fact that verse 12 states, that “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

BOOYAH! No one can stop revival! Why? because JESUS SAVES!

There is no other name by which we are saved! It is all Jesus Christ! All roads DO NOT lead to heaven! Only one road does and that way is hard (Matt 7:14)! When the world says everyone is right, when the world preaches universalism and postmodernism, we must be those who stand up and preach Jesus Christ! We must be unashamed to say that He is the only way to heaven! We must not be ashamed of when He says “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6)! We must be bold to speak this truth in love! The gospel must ring out! God is faithful and powerful to save souls!

Man I really want to have this love amongst my brothers and sisters at True North! Not being selfish, being willing to share for the good of other people, having one heart and soul… sounds like intense unity to me! And I’ve heard that unity is the secret to revival! Just look at what happens all throughout Acts; the more the persecution, the more the unity, and the more revival spreads. Praying for revival to spread at my school and for us as believers to be unified like never before!

It doesn’t matter who we are or what we do, as long as we follow Jesus, we have more in common than we may know.

I used under estimate the importance of unity in the church. But as a matter of fact, WE are the church & if we want the church to be in full working order we need to be united and like-minded for the goal of Jesus Christ. Since we are all running after that same goal, as this verse says, we have everything in common. There is no reason, no prejudice, no grudge or any other reason that should prevent us from being united. If we all truly want to run harder after Christ together than we should be encouraged to be united with everyone and make sure that everyone is on fire for Christ so we can be that well working body representing Jesus. Going to church shouldn’t be for the cliques, it should be to reach out to others as well as to get solid teaching. If we are going to be all about being united we can’t become hypocritical and forget that others need to be put before ourselves. To strive harder after Christ together is so much more effective and to have this realized we have to be putting ourselves last & other ahead of us.

This passage is so empowering, showing that even though people will hate us for speaking about Jesus, it will never stop people from being saved. There is no stopping God’s salvation! He is capable and willing to save! The more haters we have, the more people will realize that there is something different about us, that we are unified. We need to stop being ashamed or embarrassed of the gospel and go out and tell people about the good news of Jesus, not fearing hatred or awkwardness. We may lose some friends, but we will gain brothers and sisters. People are going to hate us. People are going to turn against us. But nothing can ever stop Jesus from saving people!

Oftentimes the greatest apologetic is a changed life! Did the Resurrection happen? First of all someone going from in sin to in righteousness, in the darkness to in the light, is a miracle. It’s not always evident on the surface for those who “seemed” to be good people before they became Christians, but for guys like Paul the Apostle and James the brother of Jesus, clearly the resurrection happened to them!

May I always show with my life the greatest apologetic, that Christ did rise from the dead, just as my changed life, is indisputable evidence of that. Amen!

Luke describes the unity of the Christian community as “of one heart and soul”. This makes me praise God for blessing me with brothers and sisters who are also actively fighting sin to become less like themselves and more like Christ. I pray that we will continue to encourage eachother daily to obey God’s commands. This verse also encourages me to share with others in need, whether it be material things, wealth (1 Timothy 6:18) or spiritual encouragement because everything I own belongs first to God and shouldn’t be used for for selfish desires.

God’s always taking people you wouldn’t expect to be capable of doing great things and using them to do great things. Think about David, the shepherd boy, defeating Goliath. Moses, the guy who wasn’t a great public speaker, to lead the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. Paul, the persecutor of Christians, to bring the gospel to the gentiles. And here in Acts, the disciples, uneducated fishermen, to start the church. God can use anyone to accomplish his purpose. And he will accomplish his purpose. So the question is, am I going to allow God to use me? Praying that we’ll all go big before we go home. Nothing is going to stop the revival!

There is always going to be opposition to the gospel being preached. But even when there is much opposition, like Pastor Bobby pointed out this past weekend, the church grows. People are always going to hate on Christianity; they don’t want to admit that Christ is Lord. But it’s plain and clear- there is salvation found in NO ONE ELSE besides Jesus. He is our way out of our sinful depraved state and into a beautiful relationship with the Father through His sacrifice. I am praying that God would continue His mighty work of salvation in the high schoolers of Orange County! Every knee one day is going to hit the floor and confess that Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10), and I pray that for many, this day will be before Christ returns so that they may be saved and know the deep, intimate, and permanent love of Jesus Christ!

It’s right there. It says It plainly in black and white. There is no one, nothing and no other god besides the Lord who can save us from destruction. So many people long and look for an object, thing to do, or thing to say to get saved. People want to save themselves by doing things or don’t fully comprehend the power that God has as He is the ONLY one who can save us. We need to stop underestimating the Lord and belittling Him to someone as powerful as our human minds can portray. We have the God who saves, the God who is above all, and the God who created us in the first place. It is so crucial that we Don’t set standards for the Lord because he surpasses them greatly.

You can’t stand in the way of God saving people!! He is unstoppable! These religious leaders thought that they could just put Peter and the others in jail and that would stop people from believing in Jesus, but they were so wrong. While they thought they were trying to stop Peter, they were really trying to stop God. Because it wasn’t Peter who was saving people, but GOD! This chapter is so encouraging, because I know that we’re all gonna be persecuted at school because of Jesus (immediately after I got home from Revival I was persecuted) and people are gonna try to stop us from talking about Jesus, but that won’t stop people from getting saved. Because it’s not us thats saving people, JESUS saves! And no one, I dont care who they are, can stop Jesus Christ, the Almighty God, from saving people!

Revival continues! Peter and John are both ordered not to talk or teach about Jesus, but that is not possible. Revival cannot be stopped. When opposition grows, Revival grows stronger. This is what God has predestined for, this is what all the believers are praying for: Revival. With all boldness, I need to work towards Revival. And in unity with other believers, we spur each other on in Revival. God is faithful.

Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ! Jesus is the only one who could be our sacrifice, a perfect spotless lamb to die for evil wretched sinners! Only under the holy and mighty name of God are we made new creations in Christ! God no longer sees us, but his son! We will be accounted perfect and blameless before God on judgment day! All praise be to God for saving so many people this past weekend! #therevivalneverstops

This is too good! This represented me when I wasnt a christian-I was a doubting Thomas. I got annoyed by christians proclaiming their faith in jesus, because i had a heart of stone, and I COULDNT. I wouldn’t accept God’s love-I was like the older brother. But now, I am like one of the 5000 who PROCLAIMED their love for Jesus, because the Revival DIDNT STOP AT ME AND IT NEVER WILL!!!!!

Something I learned this weekend and have been thinking about a lot since then, is to make sure I am completely humble when it comes to the gospel. A few years ago while reading the Gospels of Matt, Mark, Luke, or John and reading about the crucifixion, I would always identify myself with the woman sitting at the foot of Jesus’ cross and weeping for him. I thought, “How could anyone reject Jesus?!” However, after years of studying and learning more and more about the gospel, I have come to realize that I CANNOT identify myself with those woman. Instead, I am EXACTLY the same as the centurions who whipped Jesus and crucified him! As horrible as that sounds, it is completely true! Before I was saved, I knew the gospel and I still chose to sin! I saw the blood that Jesus shed for me, and I continued to walk all over it with my habitual sin. IT WAS MY SIN THAT NAILED JESUS TO THAT CROSS! Even thinking about that fact alone makes me tear up! I killed Jesus! That is exactly what Paul and Peter are telling the rulers here, because it is a powerful, humbling message. I can no longer think that I would be the compassionate woman weeping at Jesus’ feet. Rather, I was just like the people who directly nailed his hands and feet to that cross. What a humbling thing to think about!

Jesus Christ is our only savior! He is the only person that can save us! We can’t save ourselves. Our parents or friends or pastors can save us. Only Jesus Christ can! Some people think that they play role in their salvation, but we don’t. We don’t do anything and we CAN’T do anything to get saved. It’s all Jesus Christ’s doing. He is the one that died on the cross for out sins, was buried, and died three days later. He is the one that lived a perfect life and was crucified! An praise God for everything He did!!

Praise God for His Son Jesus Christ! He saves, and He ALONE. In a world where many religions are accepted, may we have boldness to speak the truth that Jesus is the only Savior. May we never compromise any of the gospel for the lies that the world would rather hear. It is awesome seeing God work in the lives of high schoolers through this ministry and see him save! Praying that the professions of faith within the last year are all genuine and that none of us will ever fall away from the faith, but continue strong and passionately to the praise of His glory!!

Today at CVHS there were about 15 Christians spending lunch together. It was really exciting. We prayed, and we all have Jesus in common! Praying that we will unite with one mind and one spirit, and truly share all things in common. May God unite us on our campuses and may we run together as a united body to spread the gospel and strive to rightly put the gospel on display at every moment of our lives!! Praying we will build one another up in love and grow closer every day. Unity is the Secret to Revival.

Jesus came to seek and to save to the praise of His glory!!

Let’s invite people to TN United and pray for more salvation!

It is so encouraging to know that our God always wins and his plans are always fulfilled. In this case, the Sadducees had attempted to stop the revival and spread of the gospel by arresting Peter. However, the next verse goes on to say that 5000 people were saved! In the end, a revival was sparked whether the people liked it or not and it proves that Jesus wins! This is our God who wants to have an intimate relationship and who will guide us through his plans for us. There is nothing we cannot overcome with Christ working through us!

This is a very exclusive religion, but also very inclusive. Anyone who comes to the father is saved through faith in Jesus, and anyone can have that faith. There is no other way to heaven but through repentance and faith in Jesus. He is our only way to escape Gods wrath, and he took the sin we deserve.

Another thing I noticed is that as soon as Peter and John came and told every disciple of what happened and what they were threatened with, they all prayed. In the same way, as soon as a brother or sister in Christ tells us about anything they are struggling with, whether we are accountable with them or not, we need to pray for them immediately. This passage is a great example of unity in the church because as soon as Peter and John tell the body of Christ what happened to them, being the leaders, the people prayed. Even if the people are not leaders, we need to pray for them if they are our brother and sister in Christ.

Prayer is powerful and I am praising God for saving so many people and praying their salvation would be legitimate! Don’t let the Revival die!!!! Praise God!!! #JESUS

Three weeks ago God made me realise that I was not a Christian and that I had not been saved. I prayed to Him that night and was granted salvation. I had never, and can never, do anything to earn it… It is only through Jesus that I was even able to be saved!! I want Him to use me, to share the fantastic news, so He can be glorified through the salvation of EVERYONE!!! :D

This verse to me really encourages me to be praying about and also speaking about God’s word. This really encourage me to be speaking with boldness. Especially at my school. If we have the holy spirit in us let us not hide it let us speak out and share the word of God.

What really stood out to me is on top of the chapter it says “NO ONE CAN STOP THE REVIVAL!!!” BECAUSE thats so true God is stronger and mighty to save anyone we cannot pick and chose, because we are not in control. What really stood out to me in verses 1-2 just in thoses verses revival was starting to happen when they were sharing thr good news and people are revived and saved. I know alot of time we say”dont let the fire burn down” some lots of times it sadly does it doesnt matter if we are in the mountians we could be anywhere, lets make it know that Revival can happen anywhere, anytime, any place.

It is so important to pray for boldness! God is great at answering prayers, which blows my mind, and that includes asking for boldness. Every time I ask God for this, he answers! He is a great God!! I also need to keep in mind that when I am bold, I can’t take the credit. I am not bold by my own strength, but by God’s. Praying for boldness among the new believers at True North, but also in those who have been saved for a while. The Revival can’t be stopped!

God deserves all the GLORY!!! This is exactly what the apostles are doing. The are giving all the glory to God while share the good news. The miracle of the lame man walking is no doing of the apostles it is by the power of christ in which this man may walk. Even though they have been questioned about how this man may stand the apostles don’t miss the opportunity to preach the good news. We as high schoolers need to take every chance we can to share the gospel whether it be us going up to someone or it be someone going up to us. In high school we are surrounded by thousands of people everyday. Just by the amount of people we see and talk to everyday there will always be an opportunity for us to share the good news.

This is all of us. It was convicting this weekend when we learned about the Prodigal Son. We all were in that place when we chose ourselves and our sin over Jesus, the holy and righteous one. I am so thankful that God had mercy on me after sinning against him for years. Glory to God for opening the eyes of high school students this past weekend to their sin and praise Him for saving them!!! Praying this is the beginning of Revival in 2012. May we keep fueling the fire God’s placed in our hearts by reading and studying God’s Word. Praying we will be used at our schools, homes, and work places to spread the gospel and shine in the darkness. May many more people realize the sin that they are committing against the holy and righteous God above, and turn from their sin and put their faith in Jesus! To the praise of Your Glory!!!!

This is one of my favorite chapters in the entire Bible. There is just much great stuff going on here, we have boldness, unity, and most of all the fact that Jesus is our savior. This was one of the verses that I learned back in the earliest day of T&T at AWANA. A pretty simple verse, but it sure does say a lot. Only Jesus offers salvation, only through him can your sins be forgiven and you made new in the eyes of the Lord. Only through him can you be rescued from eternity in Hell, and now be granted with eternal life in Heaven. This is the message that we need to be proclaiming across the campuses of orange county. This is what we need to telling everyone.

You can’t stop Jesus. No one can. Jesus will get the job done, no matter what anyone else may say, because what He says… goes.

Christ is on a mission to seek out and save souls through His work on the cross and through the power of His resurrection. And even though these Sadducees were against the Gospel and the salvation of others around them, that didn’t let God stop from doing His work of saving people!

No one can stop the Revival! This gets me pumped because I am excited to see more and more people get saved until the return of Christ!

Verse 33… “And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.”

When the apostles present their testimony of the power of Jesus Christ, people get saved. It had such great power that even the chief priests were forced to let them go after their trial because of power of the Gospel that had enveloped Jerusalem at the time. During this time, the apostles main way of sharing the Gospel was just to tell what they saw. They did not make fancy arguments for the Gospel with great eloquence but rather they appealed to others using the power of the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit will give us power when we speak! We need to make our case to others and make sure to tell them of Christ’s saving work in our lives! The testimony that we have now is Christ’s grace that changes lives from lives of depravity to lives that desire to seek the Lord. Great power resides in this truth! May I proclaim God’s truth using the power that is within even just my testimony. God has saved me and many at True North, even just this weekend! Let us preach this message in expectation of people getting saved through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Even in the face of intense opposition, they weren’t going to back down and be timid. They were going to pray for boldness and fear God over man. It is encouraging that they could stay strong in this intense situation. It gives me encouragement to stay strong in the face of the opposition that i get…it isnt this scary or strong, but I know that if they could stand firm and God protected them in their situation, it gives me faith that God can do the same for me at school! God is so good! Praying for the revival to continue!

I like it how that the Pharases hate Jesus so much that after they kill him he still haunts them. Its like trying to stop a forest fire you put out one section only to see three more have poped up. And the people love them because they are helping them and they belived what they said so the authorities couldn’t touch them XD. The lord never ceases to amaze

Talk about a booyah moment! Peter was taken in by the Pharisees and high priest and was asked how he was performing his miracles; this is what he responds with. This passage was talked about in “The Older Brother” Sermon at Revival this weekend and it motivated me to keep the revival going. Matthew 10:32-33 talks about acknowledging God before men, and in the book of Acts there is a perfect example of that. I am praying that we will all have the boldness of Peter and the faith that no one can stop the Revival!

Wow! 5,000 people got saved?! That is a revival right there! 5,000 people professing the Name of Christ! How legit is that?! That is something I want to see here in Orange County! Like Pastor Bobby said at Revival Winter, the amount of high schoolers we had up there this weekend was bout 1% of all high schoolers in Orange County. What if we got that number up to 5%? This is something we need to be praying about, and we need to be evangelizing like crazy so that people get saved! We are building a new and bigger True North room, so let’s fill it up! I want to see people get saved and see our number at True North get to about 5,000!

Jesus Christ is the only one who can save. That’s the fact of the matter and it’s something we need to remember! Something I have noticed in my own life is that it is so easy to get discouraged through conversations with people that don’t want to become christians and almost feel like it’s your fault or that you aren’t saying things right. It’s almost as if you blame yourself for someone not repenting and getting saved. But we can not save! Only Christ can! It is only in Him and through Him that someone can become a new creation!

this verse pumps me up because in one day 5,000 men were saved, and on my campus there are over 3,000 students, so there for God could save my whole campus in one day. all we need is the faith, the boldness, and we actual need to be spreading the gospel. Gods not going to just do what we want to do with out us doing anyhting, we need to be actively pursuing people, and be praying that christ will be saving people.

Jesus Christ is the only one who can and will save. Throughout my life I have seen not only this become reality in my life, but in the lives of so many others. Just this past weekend God transformed lost souls and made them alive. We see how Christ makes us new creations that are no longer enslaved to sin but righteousness! Through Christ ALONE can we conquer sin and let it no longer be our master. It is so vital that we as christians are consistently praising God for His sacrifice and love for us. Even if we sin God will forgive us and call us blameless!!! How immense and deep the Fathers love for us that He would make us His children!!!

This verse pumps me up to go and evangelize to my friends and acquaintances. It reminds us that true evangelism is really two conversations. One of prayer asking God to work through you and to give you boldness so you can glorify his name, and the other with the actual person in which you speak to them with gentleness and respect. From this we can tell that evangelism is something that needs to be planned and thought about before hand. We need to make sure that we are truly praying for salvation and that God can glorify himself through us.

Jesus is the only way that any person can be saved. He was rejected by the people and brought to death. Even today people are constantly rejecting the name of Jesus Christ. That should not stop us in reaching out to them for no one except for God knows who may or may not be saved. People do not want to confess to any one the things that they did. God sent Jesus as the only way that anyone might be saved. He is our only way. We praise Him every day for the gift of His Son. In everything that we do we praise His name so that He may be glorified. We should remember that always so that we may do everything with all of our heart.

This is a revival. It is so cool to see how when the word of God is tought people get saved. How awesome it was seeing just a few people get save at camp this weekend. It would be so exciting to see true north start a oc revival this year. Lets be praying that more people get saved on Wednesday.

Jesus Christ saves us from our sins! The people here were amazed that Peter and John were just “common men”. The people who were “righteous” during these times were those who were well educated in the Torah and in Jewish customs, and they were those who had risen up in the Jewish culture to places of authority. Peter and John, however, were just ordinary guys. But the difference was, was that they were actually saved and living for Jesus Christ! Jesus takes people who are just “average” and perhaps even lowly, and he saves them and uses them for his glory (just like David)! I’m praying that with the reconciliation I’ve received, I will bring God glory in everything I do. I need to be aggressive in my sanctification and follow all of the inclinations of the Spirit. I’m also praying that those “common men” who were saved this weekend at Revival will bear fruit in keeping with their repentance and that God will produce new believers by working through them!

The disciples are told that they need to stop talking about Jesus’ resurrection and they say that they can’t. It is too amazing. This is awesome to see these guys say that they are going to listen to God over people if people contradict God. In early history, Christians were persecuted because they did not put the Roman state first. Instead they put God first. It is important that we put God first in our lives. I am going to make sure that I am respecting people above me, but if they tell me to do something that contradicts what the Bible tells me to do, I am going to do what God wants me to do. Maranatha!

WOW! What generosity! The Lord puts in the hearts of people to give. I know that in my life, God has put it in my heart at certain times to give the money he has blessed me with to his glory. God does this to many people in tithing. I know one preacher by the name of francis chan. Chan says that he jokingly told his wife that he wishes they were rich so that he could give more money to people. He wrote a book called “Crazy Love” and made a bunch of money on it. Most of the money went to the church and a lot went toward people who needed help. That is something i think is actually a good thing to wish for! I think it is great to pray for money that can be given to others. God gives people a gift of giving. Its something that as a highschool student, i obviously dont have yet. My income couldnt rescue a puppy, let along a starving family. But i know that what God has blessed me with isnt mine, it is his and i should be ready to give what i can without question just like the guy in the text

Only through Jesus can we be saved! Before I became a christian, I deceived myself by thinking that doing deeds and being a “good girl” was enough to get me into heaven. However, no amount of good deeds would ever make me right before God! I am a sinner and I can’t work my way into heaven. I deserve punishment, I deserve an eternity in hell for my sin yet God chose to save me and bring me into His glorious light. This past weekend our small group talked about how we need to remind ourselves of the gospel every day. Jesus was perfect but had to suffer hell for me! That is intense! My heart needs to be full of a love for God that is passionate and desires to bring Him all the glory. I can’t ever forget how wretched and lost I was when Jesus found me! It heightens and extends the length of His love even more when I realize this. Thank you Jesus that you sacrificed so that I could live! I am so underserving of such mercy and grace!

By the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we are doing these things! How awesome is that?! I need to be having the boldness of the apostles! I am praying earnestly that God will give me the boldness to be evangelizing to other people and telling them about the awesome news of salvation, and I am praying for a massive revival in Orange County!

Five thousand people got saved?! REVIVAL! This pumps me up! Our God is SO mighty to save! God is able to do far more abundantly that all that we can ask or even think! How awesome would it be if every single person at our high school got saved? God is ABLE to do that! I am praising Him for those He has brought out of the darkness and into His glorious light this past weekend, and I’m praying He would continue to save souls!

31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Mmmm they were bold for the Gospel! People were definitely against them speaking the word of God, but they continued to proclaim the Gospel with boldness! This is so encouraging! I am praying that we would all be bold for the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week as we invite people to the True North United and campus lunches! I’m stoked to see who God to save!

Sounds like the power of Jesus Christ working through unity of believers! God was using each and every one of them to work together in unity, giving them one purpose to strive after together and encourage one another, and each on e unique testimony! And with GREAT power it says in this verse God was almighty and powerfully using their testimonies! That is so awesome and encouraging and I pray that we would all be using our testimonies trusting in God’s power to use them to save. I pray that we would be bold in sharing our faith and encouraging one another to share!

MARANATHA!!

There is salvation in NO ONE but Jesus!! He is the ONLY Savior! We can do NOTHING to save ourselves, but only by His GRACE can we be saved!! So many people live trying to be a “better person” so that they can “earn” their way into heaven, but “trying harder” won’t get you ANYWHERE!! The only way to go to heaven is to repent of your sins and put your full faith in Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection! There is no way to “earn” your way into heaven! Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” No one can boast about their salvation because they didn’t do anything! It is ALL GOD when someone gets saved!!! No one has ever done anything to deserve salvation, and no one can DO anything to deserve salvation! It is all by God’s grace that people get saved!! It says in Ephesians 2:8 it says that it is a GIFT of God!! When someone gives you a gift, you didn’t earn it, but it cost the other person something, whether it cost them money or their time. It is the same with salvation! We don’t do ANYTHING to deserve it, but God gives it to us anyways, and it cost Him something–His Son Jesus Christ!! We should never boast about our salvation because we did NOTHING, but we always need to remember that God let His Son DIE on the cross so that we may be FORGIVEN!!! Praise God for the gift of salvation that we don’t deserve, but that He gives us anyways!!!!

My mom is a great example of what this verse is talking about. My mom has been trying to share the gospel more and more with her friends that she has had forever because she has found herself not doing it so much. Now one of her friends she has had since like 2nd grade doesnt like that she believes in the Bible. They have grown apart and the friend wont talk to my mom anymore. I know that is a little harsh…but God tells us that with being a Christian it will be hard and you will be persecuted. I have been trying to be bold more and more because even though i do get a little shy sometimes, I know God will give me the words and the strength to talk to people. Hopefully I will be able to take after my moms foot steps and get the boldness up to share the gospel with friends and family.

A year ago today, God saved me. It was nothing I did, nothing I said, or thought, but it was all Him. It was God the Father sent Jesus Christ, His son, on a seek and save mission, for the glory of His name. I rejected and rejected, but God never gave up on me. He is the one who saved me. He is the One who brought me out of the darkness, and into His glorious light. He broke my heart, and made me realize that I have sinned against a perfect, holy God above. My testimony, isn’t about the drinking and partying I used to do, and now I don’t. But rather it is about God, who gave us the redemptive sacrifice, Jesus Christ. My testimony, isn’t about how I changed in my life, but about God worked through me and gave me a new heart, a new mindset, and a new life. This day is about how God changed me, changed my heart from a heart of stone, into a heart of flesh. So don’t ever think it is anything I did, but EVERYTHING He did. He revealed the darkness and sin I was living in. He shined into my night, and broke me. I didn’t repent and have faith and get saved, Jesus Christ gave me repentance and gave me faith so that I can be made right, and made new. He is the One who makes me blameless. He gave me love, comfort, life, grace, mercy, justification, satisfaction, and passion for His glory! I was lost, but now I am found. Sin was the burden upon my shoulders, that separated me from the Lord, but then He took that away. He lavished His grace upon my life, and saved me. I hated God, I hated His work, yet He is the One who justified me.

Jesus is the One who came on a seek and save mission! While Christ was dangling on that cross, He was thinking of that disrespect I would show to adults, the disobedience I would show to my mom, the party I would go to and get wasted, all the times I got drunk, He still was murdered for my transgressions. I am sitting here in awe, praising God for the salvation He gives to us. None of us deserve it, not one. We don’t deserve to have love, grace, or mercy. I deserve the wrath, that God is going to pour out on this world. It was His perfect, sovereign plan, to save me this day last year. I am speechless, because God blows my expectations away. Because of Him, I can no stand blameless and complete before the creator of the universe!

Today, I look around my room. I see Bible verses, prayer requests, calenders filled up with church events, pictures with brothers and sisters in Christ, and my Bible open on my desk. God changed my heart, and that is why I have these things in my room. Jesus Christ gave it all, and I surrender my entire life to One who SAVES! I have nothing else to boast about in my life, but I will boast in the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. My eternal destination is no longer Hell, but Heaven, and that is all because Jesus Christ carried the cross and died for my shame. My sin was upon His shoulders, and He shed blood so that I can be reborn. I was the nails in His hands, the crown of thorns upon His head, the cross He carried, the whip He was beaten with, and He gave Himself as a sacrifice for all, to be saved! In His name, I have salvation, not in someone else. I was saved, to bring His name glory, and this is the work of Jesus Christ!

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
(Ephesians 2:8-10)

JESUS PAID IT ALL, ALL TO HIM I OWE! SIN HAD LEFT A CRIMSON STAIN, HE WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW!!!!!

This is SO perfect, because at Revival Pastor Bobby preached on this exact topic; Revival cannot be stopped! If the almighty Creator of the universe is behind the salvation of people and the revivals that ring out, it cannot be stopped! The rulers, elders, and scribes came together in Jerusalem to stop this revival from breaking out, to stop these newly so called “Christians” from forming. Jesus’ disciples were going around and preaching the truth to these people and these men of higher status did not approve. They tried to punish them, but they couldn’t because they couldn’t stop the Revival! God’s might and holy will prevailed, and powered over those people! We need to be Jesus’ disciples, and spread the truth to people, knowing that the truth we tell cannot be stopped, and that God will save many lives!

I remember once when we were having small groups among the LM girls, one of them mentioned that non-Christians and Christians have different goals, which makes the relationship destined for disaster. This is why it’s incredibly important to not be forming super intense relationships with non-saved people and to be hanging out with other Christians. “…those who believed were of one heart and soul…”

But this isn’t the easiest task. I’m sure we’re all quite aware of the little cliques we have at church. I don’t think we even intend to do this, it just happens. Can our arms move without using our brains? So how can we all get anything accomplished if we’re trying to do it on our own?

Unity this weekend at Revival was pretty great if you ask me. Many people, including myself, really went out of their comfort zone to try and reach out to other people. And that’s awesome! It shouldn’t matter what we look like or what our interests may be, because the most important thing we have in common is our love for Jesus Christ!

We shouldn’t need a church getaway to help us unify! Let’s apply this verse and take the initiative this weekend! Start talking to someone who isn’t in your circle!

This verse parallels very much with 1 corinthians 2:1-5, where it talks about that through the weakness and preaching without big wise words, God was glorified rather than Paul. See, God is in the business of glorifying himself, and himself alone. So, when God saves he wants to make sure people know that it was him who saves, not the evangelist. God is more likely to use us too if we make sure in our preaching and evangelism, that we preach the gospel alone, and not wise words that would glorify us!

This is a great example of revival. not only do these people get saved and repent of their sins,but they do what we dream to do every year. to bring the revival down the mountain and making it a lifestyle!

I absolutely love this verse! Because it clearly shows that it isn’t about me. I don’t need to be some amazing speaker to preach the gospel. I don’t have to use any skills of my own to somehow prove that the gospel is the truth. In evangelism particularly, it isn’t my speech, or the things that I say that could ever save someone. It’s all God! It’s all about him, and just as in this verse the focus is not on Peter and John, the focus should not be on me, it should always be on God!

I LOVE this first part of the chapter. That the disciples were preaching Gods word shamelessly! Even though the truth of Jesus’ ressurection irritated the priests and Saducees the word could not be hidden! They even were arrested, but because of the power of God’s word people were still saved! This shows just how bold we need to be for Christ. That these men were ready to be thrown in jail for Christ. That they had faith that He would provide, so they willingly went to prison because the GLORY OF GOD was that important to them. This needs to be my attitude every day. That the glory of God is so important to me that I am willing to do anything for Christ. If it be persecution, or losing friends, or giving up my human desires, I need to do whatever it is because glorifying God is that impotant to me!

The last 2 verses also just show me how completely powerful the Bible is! Even though people were getting thrown in jail for what they were saying, and they were treated as if they were doing something wrong, the word still was able to convict people! It didnt matter that people were going to jail, people realized that they needed to repent and put their faith in God. They realized even through all this caos that they needed a Saviour. This just shows me how faithful God is to not let any opportunity by without convicting people. He was faithful this weekend by saving souls and will continue to answer our prayers. I can be confident that the gospel will continue to reach people, whether with persecution or not, God’s word will be heard! He is so mighty to save!

What they are doing sounds exactly like revival! They are sharing the good news and people are getting saved! Nearly 5000 men were saved from this “revival”

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. 14 But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition. 15 But when they had commanded them to leave the council, they conferred with one another, 16 saying, “What shall we do with these men? For that a notable sign has been performed through them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But in order that it may spread no further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.”

Now when this revival was happening, Peter and john were taken by elders and scribes to get peter in trouble for saving people! (These people were against revival!!!) But peter was filled with the Holy spirit, he had God at his side and he defended the Gospel and the acts that he was doing and said that they were in the name of Jesus Christ!!! Because Peter defended Jesus the council couldn’t stand against the works of God! They saw the miracles he had performed, and the man that he had healed and they knew that Jesus was Reviving people! But they were still against revival!

27 for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Now even though people were trying to stop the revival, they were trying to stop the Gospel from saving people, they couldn’t disrupt God’s plan! Once Peter and John were released they went back to their friends and told them what happened! Their friends instantly started praying! Asking Jesus to “grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness” and they were filled with the Holy spirit! They wanted to go share the gospel, they wanted to spread the love that Jesus Christ showed us by dying on that cross for our sins!!! REVIVAL CANT BE STOPPED!

Like Stacy said in her post so well, the inability to keep our mouths closed about the work that He has done, and is doing in our lives is evidence of the Holy Spirit taking up residence within us. Someone who truly knows Jesus, and genuinly understands what happened on the cross will NEVER live the same. If the Holy Spirit is truly in us we will NOT be able to over and over again ignore the conviction to SPEAK UP! Spending 3 days on top of a mountain, being constantly exposed to God’s word, specifically the LOVE that Christ has for me, has further compelled me to share the gospel with everyone that I can. I am praying for opporunites today to tell of the intimate and perminent relationship with Jesus Christ and God the Father that is available to all. Praying that we would not ignore the conviction to speak up this week, but instead take the Revival down the mountain to others by inviting them to True North United this Wednesday!! The only thing standing in the way of an Orange County Revival is our unwillingness to be used by Him who is FAR beyond able!! Let’s continue the REVIVAL for the glory of His great, awesome, and worthy name!!!

Revival was breaking out during this time in Acts!! The numbers of people were increasing and kept increasing, even though many of the apostles were arrested. This verse talks about how the Christians were united and they had everything in common. In the church today, we still have everything in common with other believers. We have been saved by God’s grace because of what His Son, Jesus, did for us on the cross! We should be united, or as this passage says, “of one heart and soul.” In other words, we need to unite with our brothers and sisters in Christ! There’s no Christian that we can’t love and can’t unite with. We may have some small differences, but that doesn’t affect uniting to help spread revival at our high schools! We need to have the same mindset as our brothers and sisters in getting the Gospel out. We should be working together, encouraging each other, and praying for each other everyday! I am so thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ here at True North! I need to make sure that I am praying and encouraging theme everyday!

“Let us not trust in ourselves, but let us pray and trust God. Let us not stop praising God and being bold when the emotion goes away, but let us love/obey him no matter what our circumstance is because he is always worthy! Let our lives show what God has done in them and let us [Love God].”

Preach it!!!!

There is only one person we can turn to and that is Jesus because he gave his life for us. I pray that the Revival will never die out and to grow united together in true north and also that people will get save this wednesday at True North United.

God is truly mighty to save, and a number like five thousand in a span of a couple days blows my mind. I pray that God could use me this week to share the gospel to my friends, and that they would repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ so that we could have eternal friendships and build each other up in the name of Christ, and so we could have one more light at S.C to bring a Revival!!

I am praying that the Revival is spreading! Because we are the 1%, and many people will never hear the gospel except through us! I pray that we will all be bold enough in spreading the gospel and never giving up to get the word out there!

I love seeing that as the gospel spread, so did the unity of the church. The church family did not ignore the needs of certain brothers and sisters, but provided for them. They recognized that parts of the body were in need and did what they could to contribute to that need. These people were willing to give up what they had so that there was no needy person among them! That’s incredible! No needy person! As we see the gospel spread in our True North family, could that be said of us? That there is no needy person among us? Are we opening our eyes to even look for people in need? I want to make sure that I am not ignoring a glaring need of someone because I am refusing to look for it! I don’t want to refuse to help out a brother or sister because of my own comfort. I want to go out of my way to help my family and pray that the same thing could be said of our body!

This need may not only be financial, but could be some sort of practical need. Could I help someone who has a sick parent by bringing them a meal, offering to babysit their kids, helping them with a class that they don’t understand, offering to give them a ride, or even inviting them to come hang out with me? I pray that I would see others in need and go out of my way to provide for those needs.

I really like this verse, because God knew that this would happen, he knew it would take place. I feel that there was a reason they were sent to jail then the word could travel. Because when you put down Christianity and Jesus others will come to believe in him and will repent. I feel that everything that happens in life God has a reason for it to happen.

Acts is always so encouraging to read through. When you look at the life of the early church and see how much persecution and resistance they faced, you see them coming back with persistence and prayer and faith! Although they faced trials and hardships, they never stopped preaching the gospel! They stood strong for Jesus Christ and refused to step down when people asked them to.

In Acts 3 yesterday we saw them preaching the resurrection of Jesus, talking about how he died and rose again and that those who delivered him over to be crucified still have a chance for repentance. This angered the Sadducees who did not want them talking about the resurrection. They arrested them and threatened them and told them to stop preaching repentance, yet here in verse 10 we see Peter boldly proclaiming the gospel! He says, “let it be known to all” that Jesus Christ whom God raised from the dead made this man able to walk again. Peter was unashamed of the gospel, undaunted by the opinions of man, and continued to preach the truth that was offending and angering the Sadducees because he wanted to obey God and bring him glory!

He lets nothing keep him from trying to spread the revival, and we need to have the same attitude. We cannot be concerned with the opinions of the students in our classes and what they will think if we share the gospel with them. We cannot let emotions and feelings keep the revival from spreading. Ultimately it relates to who your heart fears. Do you fear God, or do you fear man. If you fear man, you will stay quiet when your classmates take God’s name in vain. The words of the gospel will not be upon your lips, and you will be more concerned with your image in the eyes of others. But if you do fear God, you will keep his commands. You will be telling everyone you can of the power of the gospel and will not be afraid of what others will think when you do. I am praying we would be bolder than ever as we go back to school this week, not allowing anything to stop the revival from spreading!

God predestined everything to happen, and thte people realize it was the will of God for Jesus to die and that it was for them. All bad things that happen to people happen for a reason.

Loved reading this verse at RWE this weekend!!! SUCH an amazing weekend of revival and fellowship and GROWTH! Let’s keep the revival going and trust that God is a God who SAVES!

How encouraging and AMAZING! I’m personally not a super outgoing person and I know for a fact that I am not as bold for Christ as I should be. I have no excuse. These people were being persecuted to the highest extent and they PRAYED for God to grant them the boldness to keep on going! And guess what? HE DID! God is so faithful. As long as our prayers are godly and in harmony with His will, God will give us what we need to continue preaching His Word no matter what!
Praying for the boldness to preach the Gospel to anyone and everyone, every chance I get! Also praying for the good sense to not rely on myself to do this, but on GOD!

One thing that stood out to me this weekend is the love of the Father. Even though the older son was a total hypocrite (Pharisee) and looked down on his brother the Father still invited him to come and join the party. Though most of the Pharisees rejected Jesus as the Messiah some realized they were wrong and changed their mind. How else do we get this report? It most likely comes from a Pharisee in on the conversation but who later repented. I am praying for those who think they have it all together but do not that they would see themselves as the prodigal son and come home to their Father with repentance. Praise God that the invitation is still good and the door is still open!

This is evidence of the Holy Spirit taking up residence within me: that I can’t HELP but speak of what Christ is doing and has done in my life! This past weekend at Revival was revolutionary. I am praying for all of us, that we would all speak to others who come our way of the power of the Lord! I’m hoping to meet tons of new would-be brothers and sisters this week at True North United!
